Can I Have Change for a Million Dollars?

Cheeky Michael Fuller tried to pass off one of these as real

Most people would know there are no million dollar bills in circulation.  However, there are a crazy few it seems, who would try to pass one off while buying groceries.

Police in North Carolina arrested a man who attempted to pass a million-dollar note when he was buying $476 worth of items at Walmart.  He insisted that the bill was real.

Detectives told the Winston-Salem Journal that 53-year-old Michael Fuller tried to buy a vacuum cleaner, a microwave oven and other items. Employees at the store dialed the cops after he argued that the bill was legit, and Fuller was arrested.

The largest bill circulated by the government is $100. The U.S. government stopped making bills of up to $10,000 in 1969.

Fuller was charged with attempting to obtain property by false pretenses and uttering a forged instrument. He was remanded in custody on a $17,500 bond and will appear in court Tuesday.

I wonder what Michael was thinking…  perhaps Walmart would sent a truck to the bank to get his change?  Another charge should added to his case – crass stupidity.
