Washington Federal is offering a Free Kindle to new customers

There’s a great offer from Washington Federal for new customers who open a checking account. They will give you an Amazon Kindle.

Here are the rules:

  • Visit a branch to open a new consumer checking account between March 1, 2012 and May 31, 2012.
  • Open a Simple or Performance Checking Account and receive a Kindle ($79 value).
  • Open a Stellar Checking account and receive a Kindle Fire ($199 value).
  • Meet the minimum balance requirements to open.
  • Establish at least one recurring direct deposit of a payroll, pension or Social Security payment.
  • Establish at least two recurring automatic (ACH) transfers to two separate third parties linked to the account.
  • Be a U.S. resident and at least 18 years of age.

Once you fulfill the requirements, your Kindle will be mailed to you.  You will receive a 1099 for tax reporting purposes for the Kindle, as required by law.
